S3-compatible object storage built for small clusters spread across sites
What it is
It covers the everyday S3 calls, not the whole API: no object versioning, object lock, bucket policies or server-side encryption, so check what your app expects first. It stores whole copies of your data (three by default) rather than erasure coding, which costs raw disk. And it is maintained by a small hosting co-op, not a company you can buy support from off the shelf.
